We know that infertility often causes stress for the sufferer, but can stress cause infertility? According to recent studies, there is a link between daily stress levels and a decreased chance of getting pregnant. The exact reason has yet to be established, but it suggests that cortisol (the stress hormone) may interfere with ovulation.

On the other hand, there is also an indirect link between stress and infertility. Women with high levels of stress are likely to have lower libido and higher intake of toxic substances that we know for sure influence infertility, such as drinking too much alcohol or caffeine or smoking.

Fertility or fertility yoga

There is currently no research showing a direct link between yoga and fertility. However, some studies have found that yoga has benefits for those trying to conceive.

Firstly, the sport provides a reduction in stress levels which can increase the chances of getting pregnant. In addition, it will help you obtain a healthy body weight, as well as

toning your body. It is very important to consider your weight when planning your pregnancy because it can affect your ability to get pregnant.

What type of yoga is best for achieving pregnancy?

The recommended types of yoga for women who want to get pregnant are hatha and Kripalu. The former is characterized by slow movements focused on improving posture and relaxation. Kripalu yoga is a type of hatha yoga that is more focused on connecting body and mind. Are you more of a team player? Then we recommend you to try partner yoga.

Although there are no yoga postures for getting pregnant, some yoga asanas (postures) can help you prepare your uterus and pelvic floor, such as the bridge pose.
