According to ASEBIR (Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology) in Spain 86.000 cycles of assisted reproduction techniques are performed each year (55.000 with In Vitro Fertilization and 31.000 with Artificial Insemination).

According to the provided data in 2009, in Spain 16.000 children were born after assisted reproduction treatments, 84% after In Vitro Fertilization and 16% after Artificial Insemination.

These figures reflect the value of Assisted Reproduction in the Health Care Sector because infertility is a problem that affects 15% of couples of reproductive age. Thanks to Assisted Reproduction Techniques many couples will be able to fulfill their dream of becoming parents.
