As always, we want to remind you that we are by your side to keep you informed about any news that may arise in this regard. Our goal is to maintain the safety and well-being of all of you and serve as support for any questions that may arise.
For this reason, we have prepared a series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that we hope will help you resolve, at least, your most frequent doubts:
Barcelona IVF:
Current coronavirus situation?
Europe continues to suffer from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic. This has forced the countries to continue to adopt preventative measures to reduce the virus’s transmission rate.
These measures range from perimeter confinement, time restrictions and home confinement. In any of these cases, travelling for medical reasons is allowed, which enables us to maintain assisted reproduction services for our patients.
Is it safe to travel to Barcelona?
You can travel to Barcelona for assisted reproduction treatment as long as you follow all the established prevention measures.
In this moment, use of protective masks is obligatory in Barcelona, as well as limited capacity in public and private spaces, limited hours, which do not allow people to leave between 10 pm and 6 am, and perimeter confinement in the Autonomous communities. Hotels are open and can offer restaurant service to their clients.
These measures allow patients to come to Barcelona, stay in a hotel and come to the clinic for treatment, reducing the risk of infection.
What do we do in Barcelona IVF to protect ourselves from coronavirus?
At Barcelona IVF we apply the preventive measures established by the government and the occupational risk committee to prevent the contagion of coronavirus.
At a staff level, internal regulations establish the mandatory use of protective masks and the limitation of the use of common spaces.
Our facilities undergo a strict and continuous disinfection protocol.
Regarding our patients, we promote online consultations and only attend in person if there are no symptoms of COVID such as fever or cough. In treatments, we perform PCR tests if necessary, to rule out virus infection. In cases of egg donation , we ensure that donors are not carriers of the coronavirus by a PCR test at the time of donation.
