Growing number of foreign patients performing fertility treatments in Spain.

share

According to a report from the ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) Spain is the European country which performs the largest number of treatments to patients coming from abroad, which is known as "reproductive tourism".
In the years 2009 and 2010 35-40% of the treatments were held in Spain. The majority of patients come from Italy, France, United Kingdom and Germany and 60% of the treatments carried out were with Egg Donation.
Spain has a progressive and rigorous legislation and one of the most advanced patient care in Europe, also the fact that the egg or sperm donation is anonymous is very appreciated.
