I still vividly remember my first encounter with assisted reproduction: I was fascinated by the many ways in which we, as physicians, can help patients fulfil their dream of becoming mothers. At the same time, I learnt that a patient-centred approach and building close relationships with patients are essential in this specialty.

Being able to support patients through this process every day is both a genuine privilege and a great responsibility.
