What is Embryoscope? And why can it be a very important tool all along your pregnancy? If you want to check it out, keep reading!

Embryoscope, a state-of-the-art technique

Embryoscope is a state-of-the-art embryo incubator with continuous time-lapse imaging technology. This allows us to have a complete video of the embryos from the start of their life.

What advantages does the Embryoscope offer?

Embryoscope is a state-of-the-art incubator that improves the conditions for embryo culture with regards to conventional incubators, thus increasing the chances of pregnancy.

Each embryo has its own individual space and therefore does not share the culture with the other embryos. The time-lapse imaging system allows the embryos to be evaluated at any time without having to take them out of the incubator; therefore, the embryos are not affected by changes in temperature and light. Without these variations of culture conditions, the obtained embryos are of better quality and thus have higher chances to result in pregnancy.

Having a continuous recording of embryonic development enables us to determine the rhythms of cell division and thus select morphologically superior embryos, as well as those that fragmented at the right moment.

Embryos with higher chances of implantation can be selected through this technique, therefore achieving better pregnancy rates.

If you have any further question about Embryoscope, do not hesitate: at Barcelona IVF we will be thrilled to help you!
