Dr. Gloria Pagnini

I have always wanted to be a doctor, ever since I was a child. It was a “vocational” choice in the true sense of the word. I have always enjoyed studying and I heard a voice inside me telling me to become a doctor.

When I started my medicine degree, I was not sure about what I wanted to specialise in. Paediatrics - being a children’s doctor - was attractive, but the human and social aspects of psychiatry were also very appealing. Biology had always fascinated me. When, at the end of my degree course, I started studying gynaecology, I fell in love! And particularly when I started studying assisted reproduction. That was my path! To see life developing from one cell, the laboratory technology, thinking about diagnosis and treatment, and the miracle of life that never ceases to surprise us!

Personally, professional success is obviously to give the joy of a baby to the couples I treat, to receive photographs of smiling children, but also to provide relief with my words during the many difficult moments of the assisted procreation process. When I enter the clinic, the most important thing for me is to give my best to couples, to treat each of them in the most professional, human and personal manner. Barcelona IVF is a clinic that values the human aspect, which is exactly what allows me to be the professional I strive to be!
